Vijaya T. Rajendar convened a press meet at the Four Frames Theatre to clear the air over the car theft and an accident that claimed a life and seriously injured another. The incident occurred on September 10th. Detailing about what happened on the fateful day T.R. said that his younger son Kuralasaran had gone to dine in a hotel situated on Mount Road at about 10 pm. He refuted all allegations that Silambarasan was present with his brother on the fateful day. T.R. substantiated this by stating the Silambarasan was in Sri Lanka from September 3rd to 14th.
